haruchi Terms of Service

This is a translation. If it differs from the Korean original, the Korean original applies.

Effective date: October 14, 2026

Article 1 (Purpose)

These terms set out the conditions and procedures for using haruchi (getharuchi.com, the "service"), a study planning service operated by Park Chan-bin (the "operator"), and the rights and obligations of the operator and users.

Article 2 (Service content)

  1. The service divides study tasks by day and displays them based on the exam dates, study scope, and events you enter.
  2. The service is free and can be used without registering an account.
  3. The plans and advice shown by the service are reference materials to help you study. They do not guarantee exam results or passing an exam.

Article 3 (Publication and changes to the terms)

  1. We publish these terms in the service interface so that you can review them before use, and display important matters, such as the possibility of data loss, termination of the service, and the scope of liability, in bold. You may request an explanation of the terms at help@getharuchi.com.
  2. We may change these terms within the limits permitted by applicable laws. When making changes, we announce the changes and effective date in the service interface starting 7 days before they take effect. For changes unfavorable to users, we give notice starting 30 days beforehand.
  3. Where consent is required to apply changed terms to existing users, we obtain it separately. We do not treat the absence of an objection after notice as consent. Users who do not agree to the changed terms may export their data and stop using the service.

Article 4 (User data and backups)

  1. The goals, events, and study records you enter are stored only on your device (browser), and we do not receive or retain them.
  2. Data may be lost due to deletion of browser data, loss or failure of a device, clearing of browser storage, or similar circumstances, and we cannot recover data stored on your device. We recommend saving important records separately using "Export to file" in settings. Failure to make a backup does not, by itself, exempt us from legal liability.
  3. You are responsible for managing where you keep exported files and with whom you share them. When importing files created by other services (such as artificial intelligence services), check their contents. Liability for damage caused by errors in haruchi's export or import functions is determined under applicable laws.

Article 5 (User obligations)

When using the service, you must not engage in the following acts.

  1. Interfering with the normal operation of the service (such as excessive automated requests or exploitation of security vulnerabilities)
  2. Using the service's screens, logo, or characters for commercial purposes without our permission
  3. Any other acts that violate applicable laws

Article 6 (Changes and interruptions to the service)

  1. We may add or change features for reasons such as fixing errors, maintaining security, or changes in the operating environment. For changes affecting the storage, viewing, or export of records, we announce the reasons, changes, and effective date in advance and explain how to preserve your data. For urgent security measures or incident responses, we provide notice without delay after taking action.
  2. If we intend to end the service, we give notice in the service interface starting 30 days beforehand. You may export your data during that period.
  3. For scheduled maintenance, we announce the reasons and scheduled times in advance. If an outage or other circumstances make advance notice difficult, we announce the reasons and recovery status without delay after confirming the interruption. If the recovery time is unknown, we state that it is unknown.

Article 7 (Limitation of liability)

  1. If you suffer damage due to our intentional acts or negligence, we are liable under applicable laws.
  2. We are not liable for damage caused by device failure, deletion of browser data, communication failures, or similar circumstances for which we are not responsible.
  3. As stated in Article 2(3), the service does not guarantee exam scores or passing an exam. However, this provision does not limit our liability under law for service errors or other causes.

Article 8 (Intellectual property rights)

  1. We hold the intellectual property rights in the screens, logo, characters, and text we create ourselves. Rights in materials provided by third parties (such as fonts) belong to their respective rights holders.
  2. Rights in content you enter or import remain with the original rights holders. Using the service does not transfer those rights to us.

Article 9 (Protection of personal information)

We protect users' personal information in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Act of Korea and other applicable laws, and the privacy policy (getharuchi.com/privacy).

Article 10 (Inquiries)

Service inquiries and feedback are accepted at help@getharuchi.com.

Article 11 (Governing law and jurisdiction)

  1. These terms are interpreted under the laws of the Republic of Korea.
  2. Disputes relating to use of the service are resolved by the court with jurisdiction under the Civil Procedure Act of Korea.

Supplementary provision

These terms take effect on October 14, 2026.
